Ceremony Backdrops That Will Have You Saying, “I Do”

When exchanging your vows, all eyes and cameras will be pointed at you. What goes on behind you is what will be the backdrop of every single photo. If you aren’t getting married somewhere where nature will do the decorating for you, like a mountaintop or ocean, then you will want to pick out a ceremony backdrop that sets the scene and influences the rest of your wedding theme.

Balloon Backdrop

Balloons are an undervalued décor element. They can be large, small, black and white or colorful. Lay them out into any kind of pattern, shape, or design. Create a wall of balloons to stand in front of, an archway to stand under, or a sculpture to be placed on either side of you. The balloon possibilities are limitless.

Retro Backdrop

Create vintage vibes with a retro backdrop. Retro elements can come in the form of bright colors like green, pink or yellow, funky shapes, or 70s-inspired patterns like paisley prints or circular designs. Play around pairing these elements together to create a retro backdrop that sets the scene for your wedding ceremony.

Fairy Light Backdrop

Lights can do a lot to decorate a space. Hang lights from the a ceiling or archway to create a backdrop inside a dark venue or illuminate an outdoor evening wedding with lights draped behind you at your ceremony. All you need are white or colorful lights to create this simple, yet stunning, statement.

Floral Arch Backdrop

Incorporate fresh or fake flowers into your décor by creating an archway to stand in front of at your wedding ceremony. Spread them out through greenery or create a denser, more colorful look by placing more flowers closer together. Match the flowers to your bouquet and centerpieces to tie your floral theme together.

Hanging Floral Backdrop

Believe it or not, a backdrop does not need to be behind your back. It can be above you! A ceremony backdrop is a decorative piece that a couple is centered in front of. This means you can center your seating under your backdrop, for example a hanging floral arrangement or streamers, so all eyes are focused on it and the couple will be placed underneath it.

What backdrop style will you have at your wedding ceremony?
